Kevin Hart has been playing poker for a few years now. Given his international fame, he’s quickly drawn attention in the poker world.
He’s also drawn the attention of partypoker and has signed a deal with the company. Hart will serve as a celebrity ambassador for the popular poker site.
Partypoker executive Rob Yong announced the deal and is excited to have Hart on board:
Moving On After PokerStars
Hart now has the enviable position of having worked with two online poker sites. He previously signed a sponsorship deal with PokerStars in 2017.
However, PokerStars has gotten rid of most of his sponsored celebrities and pros. This move left Hart a free agent in the poker world.
He’s now filled this void by quickly inking a deal with partypoker. The latter ranks fifth among all online poker rooms regarding traffic with 2,600 hourly cash-game players.
No details on the sponsorship are available. However, we can be sure that it’s a lucrative deal when considering that Hart is already worth $200 million.
Hart Expects to Make Poker More Fun
Hart has been entertaining crowds for years through his comedy shows. Now, he wants to make poker “a lot more fun” through his new ambassador deal.
The 40-year-old entertainer will work with Yong and the rest of the partypoker team to increase the brand’s fame. He has 36 million Twitter followers and has played in various live poker events, including the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl.
Of course, even Kevin Hart’s clout won’t help partypoker catch PokerStars overnight. The latter has quite a head-start in terms of traffic.
But partypoker could certainly cut into PokerStars’ traffic with their newest ambassador. Other members of Team Partypoker include Kristen Bicknell, Isaac Haxton, Fedor Holz, and Jason Koon.
