Famed poker presenter and former PartyPoker rep Kara Scott has found a new home after inking a deal with 888poker. As a member of 888, Scott will travel to different live events around the world and cover the action.
Scott became synonymous with poker TV shows in the mid-2000s, having presented on GSN’s High Stakes Poker, Sky Poker, Poker Night Live, the World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour.
Unfortunately, TV poker dried up before and after Black Friday, and all these shows disappeared. But Scott was able to find another lucrative opportunity with PartyPoker in 2010, staying with the site until 2014.
The new deal with 888 ensures that Scott can continue offering her well-liked personality and poker insight on camera. Here’s a statement from her on the sponsorship:
“I’m a big believer in just how much fun poker can be, and adore being involved with the recreational side of the game, as well as the more serious side. Joining the 888poker team is a fantastic milestone for my career and I feel honored to be representing such a key player in the poker industry.”
The pleasure isn’t just on Scott’s side of the table, though, because 888 knows that they’re getting a very talented presenter on their team. Itai Pazner, Senior Vice-President & Head of B2C at 888 Holdings, acknowledged this while expressing how happy he was to sign Scott.
“All of us here at 888poker are thrilled that Kara has joined our team,” said Pazner. “Her achievements and outlook on the game and the industry are exactly what 888poker stands for and we look forward to having her on board.”
Aside from presenting shows, Scott is also a solid poker player, having racked up over $643,000 in her career. Her most notable finish included taking second in the 2009 Irish Open, which earned her €312,600.
