patrik-antonius-pokerThe 2017 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is ready to kick off at King’s Casino Rozvadov (CZ) on October 19. And one of the most-exciting events will no doubt be the €111,111 High Roller for One Drop, which will offer a €10 million guaranteed prize pool.

This event will kick off on November 3 and feature many of the biggest names in poker. Gus Hansen, Fedor Holz, Patrik Antonius, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, Tony G, and Liv Boeree have already confirmed their entries.

€100,000 from each buy-in will go to the prize pool, while the other €11,111 will go to the One Drop Foundation.

The WSOPE High Roller for One Drop will be a three-day event, with each player starting with 2 million chips. Blinds will also increase slowly at 60 minutes, making this a true deep-stacked tournament. Players can re-enter an unlimited amount of times up until the third blind level of Day 2.

gus-hansen-2015-wsopIf the European high roller is anything like the WSOP Las Vegas, we can expect a big event. 130 players entered the 2017 WSOP High Roller for One Drop, and Doug Polk won the tourney along with $3,686,865.

The WSOPE High Roller for One Drop is capped at 111 players. But there’s a very good chance that this tourney will meet its cap. King’s Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik gave up his seat and still donated his buy-in to charity.

“The demand is strong and I have given up my own seat and will play host instead,” Tsoukernik said. “My €11,000 deposit will go to One Drop.”

Beyond the high roller, the 2017 WSOP Europe will feature nine other bracelet tournaments. This includes the 2017 WSOPE Main Event, which will run from Nov. 4-10 and guarantee €5 million. Poker pros can also look forward to playing a large number of cash games on the side of the tournament action.
