Antonio Esfandiari Buys $3.4 Million House

Monday, April 24th, 2017

antonio-esfandiari-houseWhile the poker economy may be down a little in recent years, the days of poker pros living large isn’t over. Case in point: Antonio Esfandiari and his wife, Amal Bou-Nahra, have just purchased a home in Venice, California for $3.425 million.

As reported by the LA Times, their new purchase is a modern, two-story home with wide wood steps that lead up to steal-and-glass front doors.

The inside features an open-space floor plan designed for indoor-outdoor living. Amenities include the following:

– Glass-enclosed fireplace
– Office
– Exercise room
– Four bedrooms
– Four bathrooms, tiered decking
– Detached 2-car garage

When looking at the overall structure – minus the glass doors and modern look – this sounds like a pretty normal house. And you’d be shocked to pay this kind of price for a 4-bedroom home anywhere else.

Of course, Venice isn’t just anywhere considering that the median home value is $1.55 million. The house that Esfandiari and Bou-Nahra bought was actually listed at $3.695 million, meaning they got it for over $350k less than the asking price.

Esfandiari has had a great run as a poker player, netting $27.35 million in tournaments. “The Magician” has also made quite a few TV appearances, and made a fortune off sponsorship deals in the past.

He hasn’t had any giant poker scores within the past few years. But as long as Esfandiari invested some of the millions he’s made, we can see him being able to afford such a pricey place.
