Brazil’s Vivian Saliba has signed a deal to represent 888poker as a brand ambassador. She joins the likes of countryman Bruno Foster, Chris Moorman, Bruno Foster, Sofia Lovgren, Kara Scott, Natalie Hoff, and Parker Talbot as a member of Team888.
This isn’t Saliba’s first brush with 888poker, because she’s done some reporting for them at live tournaments. But now she’ll be a full-time member of the poker site’s family.
The young Brazilian said that her favorite thing about 888 is their wide variety of events.
“There are many aspects I like about 888poker. First of all, the 888live events because of the affordable buy-ins with good structures and amazing locations,” she said.
“I also like the online platform because of the variety of different tournaments and cash games with a large number of players online at any time.”
More on Vivian Saliba’s Poker Career
Vivian Saliba begin playing live poker tourneys in 2014, recording her first cash within the same year. Saliba first landed on the international poker radar when she took 11th place in the 2017 WSOP $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha – 8 Handed Championship. This earned her $47,923, which is still her biggest cash.
“I prefer PLO because there is way more action compared to Hold’em what makes it more enjoyable to play,” Saliba said.
“A lot of players are new to the game and make many mistakes which is obviously good for me as a professional poker player.”
In addition to finishing 11th in the PLO 8-handed championship, she also cashed in the 2017 WSOP Main Event (421st, $27,743). Overall, Saliba has collected $193,780 in live poker winnings over her career.
This puts her 117th overall on Brazil’s all-time tournament winnings list. She should have no trouble moving up further, because she’ll be playing in more live events under the 888 banner.
Saliba said that she started playing poker at the age of 17, when she visited a local card club with her father. The now 24-year-old would later earn her first tournament cash at the same club.
