World Series of Poker 2010

World Series of Poker 2010

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is held every year in Las Vegas and is one of the biggest poker events each year. The WSOP brings poker players from all over the world together to participate in a number of exciting poker tournaments, culminating in the final event where winners can take home the WSOP bracelet, huge cash prizes and fame!

The World Series of Poker has taken place every year since 1970, when Benny Binion of Binion’s invited the six best poker players in the world to play in an invitational tournament at the Horseshoe Casino. Over the years the WSOP has grown into something huge, with thousands of poker players from around the globe competing each year.

In 2010 the WSOP will be held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Vegas. The tournament is scheduled to take place between May 27 and July 17. The 2010 Series will include a new Players Championship tournament with a $50,000 buy-in, played out over eight games with 57 WSOP bracelets up for grabs. This is the most expensive tournament buy-in to ever start off the World Series of Poker.

If you are interested in participating but don’t have $50,000 to spare for the buy-in you will also be able to choose from six $1,000 events, Ladies’ events and Senior’s Championships with low buy-ins. Nearly 60 events are scheduled leading up to the Main Event. Tournament events include a variety of poker game variations including No Limit and Limit Hold’em games, Triple Draw Lowball, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo, H.O.R.S.E. and more.
